Carnegie Deli opened on 854 7th Avenue in midtown Manhattan in 1937 just across from its namesake, Carnegie Hall. Originally a 40-seat restaurant, Carnegie expanded in 1976 when it was taken over by Milton Parker, or as we like to call him, The CPM – The Corned Beef and Pastrami Maven. Today, the Carnegie Deli brand is owned and operated by Parker’s daughter, Marian Harper, and Parker’s grandaughter, Sarri Harper who uphold the same standards that earned Carnegie its iconic name.

We cure and smoke all of our own meat products and bake all of our famous cheesecakes at our family owned and operated commissary. Not many other delis can boast the same!

Known for our old world, kosher-style favorites like pastrami, corned beef, and brisket, our sandwiches weigh in at over a pound–– talk about hospitality. We’re more than just sandwiches; we do it all. You can’t find a better knish, stuffed cabbage, or matzoh ball than Carnegie Deli’s, and if you like cheesecake, then you’ve hit the jackpot. Don’t live in New York? No problem. Not only do we ship our world famous cheesecakes but we also ship our meats and many other food products right to your door – anywhere in the Continental US. A taste of Carnegie Deli is a taste of New York!
